To start off the celebrations of our 90th anniversary, Gosforth Musical Society present this lightly-staged production of HMS Pinafore.
This was the first Gilbert and Sullivan show that GMS performed and are commemorating that fact at the start of the celebrations with a production with a live mini-orchestra and a slightly more modern look.
There are only 2 opportunities to catch this show that has stood the test of time and remains a very popular show – both to perform and attend. The added excitement of using the revamped Gosforth Civic Theatre brings an extra level to the show too. Featuring memorable songs such as “A British Tar”, “When I was a Lad” and “I am the Monarch of the Sea” this is a show not to be missed. If it’s good enough for The Simpsons, then it’s a show worth seeing!
There will be one interval of 20 minutes.
